Starting in Milngavie, (pronounced Mill-guy) and winding 154km, or 96 miles in old money, to Fort William, The West Highland Way was the first official long-distance footpath in Scotland. The scenery is a mix of industrial, mountainous and moorland and will always entertain.  Having recently completed this with my good friend Ashley, I thought I should share my pictures. Unlike any other long distance walk, I opted not to take an S.L.R. because of the weight of both camera and lenses. Instead I took a crop sensor Sony A6300, with a 16-50 lens (which is I’ve now found is quite lacking) and a Samyang 12mm manual everything. I’m still not sure that I like it.
